Purpose and requirements of laboratory ventilation
The ventilation design requirements of laboratory ventilation and comfortable air conditioning system are different. The main purpose is to provide a safe and comfortable working environment and reduce the possibility of exposure to dangerous air. Ventilation mainly solves the health and labor protection problems of laboratory workers in the working environment.
Laboratory ventilation requires all fresh air from the outside, and then 100% of the outdoor, ventilation cabinet exhaust is not indoor circulation.
Chemical laboratory ventilation requires more than 10 times per hour, physical laboratory ventilation is more than 10 times per hour, and ventilation can be reduced to 6 times when the laboratory is unattended. Laboratory ventilation cabinets should be designed in sufficient quantities and not be used as the only indoor ventilation device. Local ventilation system should be installed above the instrument room or the instrument that produces hazardous substances.
Part of the air supply in the laboratory comes from fresh air which is directly fed into the laboratory by the air conditioning system. This part of the fresh air varies according to the change of the laboratory exhaust volume. The other part is fed into the corridor of the non-laboratory area through the air conditioning system, and the room is fed through the door gap of the laboratory.
The negative pressure of the laboratory is realized by the arrangement of air supply, exhaust air volume and air supply and exhaust outlet. The air distribution is from office, management room, inner aisle to the laboratory room where hazardous substances are produced. The position of the fume hood is located far away from the air flow and turbulence, away from the walking area and the fresh air area. Fresh air is introduced from the side far away from the ventilator, and the air flow path is far away from the ventilator.
